More Bead Business Tips

Today's post is about business cards.  Quality is important, but so is the cost.  When we started our business, we went to a local printer (recommend supporting local business when at all possible), and it was expensive.  They were nice cards, but not having a clear picture of what we needed, we ended up with tags that weren't practical for our uses.  As time went on, I learned to design some of our display cards myself.  Recently I came across, Dolphin Bead Design where you can design your own cards, and they will print them for you.  They were wonderful to work with, and we now have a variety of styles of cards for earrings, necklaces, pins, and even wine glass charms. 

Another wonderful company to work with is Vistaprint.  We have ordered business cards through them several times, a vinyl banner for our booth, business cards with calendars on the backs, and this week, postcards with our show schedule on them.  Using printing companies gives you a much more professional look than doing it yourself on your computer.  We did the "do it yourself" version when we started out, but Vistaprint is really cheaper than you can buy the cards and the ink to print them yourself.

We also work with Moo cards.  Moo cards are very reasonably priced and a fun shape that is going to get your cards noticed.  Also, you can upload your art pictures to the fronts of your cards.  A batch of 100 cards will run you about $20 and you can upload 100 pictures to have a different picture on each card at no extra charge.  WOW!

The backs of Moo cards contain your info, and you can choose the background color too.  They are of a heavy card stock and are really awesome.  You can also make a collage of all your business card designs to hang on your wall (they sell the frame for them!).
