About the Festival
Held annually since 1989, Hastings’ Cottonwood
Festival is one of Nebraska's best! During this two-day arts festival –
during the third weekend in June – food vendors line the sidewalks as
patrons enjoy music, children's
activities and fine art and craft displays.
The festival is held at historic Brickyard Park in southwest Hastings. The 27-acre park features a large amphitheatre with bleacher and hillside seating, a walking trail, picnic shelter and a playground.
Fabulous local bands starting at 5pm Friday and all day on Saturday, Smoky B and the XYZ's plays Blues music from 7-10pm on Friday night, Aaron Tippin performs at 6pm Saturday night, great activities for children, and Art in the Making both days. We are participating in the Art in the Making demonstrations Friday and Saturday. Chris and Mina will share torching duties doing demos of beads, buttons, and marbles. We will have our own tent this year, as the Graham Gallery is not doing an artist tent. So be sure to stop by and watch Chris and Mina melt glass and browse through all of our new jewelry, marbles, and beads!
