We're off to see the...

I'm not sure why that song just popped into my head, but it works for this entry. We are going to the Cottonwood Festival in Hastings tonight and it runs all weekend. We, along with Mina's gal pal Taylor, are going tonight to see the Cherry Poppin' Daddies and gorge ourselves on fair food! Chris and I love the Big Band Era style of music so even though Sammy Kershaw and Emerson Drive are there tomorrow night, this is the concert we want to see. We aren't big into country music (though I was growing up and until several years ago) and Mina does listen to it (in her room). Chris sticks pretty true to his hippie loving music (Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Metallica, etc.). I like the newer rock stuff (Nickelback, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Anvril Livigne, Fergie, etc), but we are also into classical, new age, and oldies like Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra. Sorry, didn't mean to get sidelined there! We are going to view the fine arts and crafts at the Festival, and perhaps we will be there next year with our jewelry! Have a happy weekend! And Happy Father's Day, Dads!
